With over 20 years as a recording artist, instead of slowing down in the last 8 years Seraya has maintained her tradition of releasing a project at the beginning of each year.

Interestingly her very first full-length album was entitled “The Prodigal Daughter”. “The Tales of Arcturus” hallmarks her return to her folk/acoustic roots (a little like a musical prodigal) after exploring and releasing works in multiple genres including pop, rock, dance, electronica, blues, jazz and even a track for Bollywood), working with guitarist/producer Sam Shepherd on this project.

In 2023, her loosely autobiographical tunes come packaged in “The Tales of Arcturus”. Emotions stirred up during and in the aftermath of significant global events surface in the lyrics, which also include a tribute to her late father. The EP includes a raw and delicate cover of “Don’t Let It Die” written and released by long time Beatles producer Norman “Hurricane” Smith.
